Soles 4 Souls is a non-profit that creates sustainable jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the world. Our group will meet at the Transportation Hub at Tyler Haynes Commons at 1:00pm to depart for Soles 4 Souls. Whether you are utilizing university sponsored transportation or will be joining us at the site, please expect to arrive at Soles 4 Souls by 1:30pm.

Volunteers will start their shift by learning about Soles4Souls and getting instructions for their project. After this, volunteers will go through bags/boxes of shoes and put the pairs together with rubber-band/tying the shoe laces. Shoes will be bagged and boxed and weight before volunteers end so you have a chance to see your total impact.

Attire: There is no AC/Heat in the warehouse so dress according to the weather as it will mirror that inside. Please wear comfortable clothing as this volunteer activity includes a lot of bending and moving. No open toe shoes!

Other: You’re welcome to play music in the warehouse with our Bluetooth speakers! We have a water cooler and recommend you bring a refillable water bottle. Soles 4 Souls also encourage groups to bring used shoes to the service day so the experience is truly full circle.

Transportation: Transportation support is provided, and volunteers are also invited to join us at location. For volunteers who plan to carpool or drive themselves, please plan to arrive at 1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy Ste. E, Richmond, VA 23224 by 1:30pm.
