About

With more content and research moving online, the Library of Virginia is seeking to make digital documents as accessible as possible. Volunteers will transcribe handwritten pages by reading the written text and typing it into digital form. They will also review other transcriptions for accuracy. Participate in enhancing access to collections of over 400 years of Virginia history, people, and culture. These include documents from the Civil War, African American narratives, and Patrick Henry's executive letters. Help us tell the narrative of all Virginians – the famous, the infamous, and even anonymous – and join us in Making History.

This on campus DIY service project will be held in Tyler Haynes Commons, Room 310.

*Please bring a laptop to participate, or request one of the few that we have available. This project will last no longer than two hours.
