About
Virginia Anti-Violence Project works to address and end violence against and within diverse LGBTQ+ communities across Virginia. We stand against all types of violence, and will do what we can to support community members who have been impacted, regardless of the type of violence committed. Our advocates are available to help clients and community with direct services and inquiries. We are committed to showing up in community in as many ways as we can. Our advocates travel throughout Virginia to lead training to allied and mainstream organizations on issues that impact the community at large, from LGBTQ+ 101 to Transformative Justice. We aim to provide referrals and information to aid with both immediate and long-term needs, including translation and interpretation for important anti-violence and trauma-informed language needs.
